Bolt has a look at the big wide world

One of the new foals born at the Miniature Pony Centre took his first look at the big wide world.

Bolt was born two weeks ago to mum, eight year old Viola, only standing a little bit higher than a daffodil at eighteen inches.

Bolt, named after the dog in the Disney film of the same name, seemed to like running around in the spring sunshine while mum looked on, but came to a standstill after bumping into a couple of visitors; he looked on with childlike curiosity.

When he was finally caught, Bolt was carried back to his pen in case he ran off again. Another foal was born at the Miniature Pony Centre just outside Moretonhampstead last week and eight more are due to be born in the coming weeks.
