What an amazing line-up for this year’s Chagstock Music Festival with Imelda May and the Buzzcocks to headline the festival.
Imelda May is the main headline act on Saturday evening. She started her singing career by releasing ‘No Turning Back’, and her second Album ‘Love Tattoo’ received critical acclaim. Imelda joined Jools Holland on one of his tours and also performed on his BBC2 show Later with Jools Holland.
Imelda May has recorded with a huge variety of world class artists including Lou Reed, Jeff Beck, Smokey Robinson, Meatloaf and Tom Jones.
Friday’s headliners are the Buzzcocks who have been touring or producing albums for the last four decades.
Few bands have had the longevity and sustained creative energy to produce an endless stream of original and fantastic pop songs.
The Correspondents, The Grahams and Show of Hands are the other main acts that will be performing at Chagstock this year, with more acts to be announced. Show of Hands return to Chagstock for the third time.
One of this country’s most successful acoustic acts, Steve Knightly and Phil Beer have been working and playing together for the last 25 years.
Simon Ford, Chagstock organiser, said: “With world class acts Buzzcocks and Imelda May joining The Correspondents and The Grahams and an already fantastic line up we are pulling out all the stops for 2018. We are working hard to bring an eclectic and high quality selection of artist to the beautiful Devon countryside.”
