Simon Ford, the organiser of the Chagstock Music Festival, has announced the Friday night headline act as From The Jam which is fronted by the original Jam Bass player Bruce Foxton.
From the Jam will be playing punk mod sounds on the main stage on Friday 19th July.
Chagstock Music Festival is known for its stunning location on a 70 acre site on Dartmoor at Whiddon Down and its diverse line up.
Other acts at this year’s festival include the main headline act the Fun Lovin’ Criminals along with Mad Dog Mcrea and Noble Jacks with more acts to be announced.
The Jam with front man Paul Weller had amazing success from 1972 until they broke up in 1982 with 18 singles and seven albums. Many of their hits will be heard such as That’s Entertainment, Going Underground and a Town Called Malice.
Chagstock started as a private party in the back garden for a few friends to play a little music and have a few beers, now years later it is one of the main music festivals in the South West and regularly attracts 5,000 people.
Simon the organiser said: “We can’t wait to welcome friends new and old to Higher Fields in Whiddon Down for Chagstock 2019. We are delighted to be able to confirm Fun Lovin’ Criminals as the Saturday night headliner.
‘They appeared at Chagstock in 2012 and got the arena jumping so much that in a survey they were the favourites to ask back.”
Chagstock Music Festival is on 19th – 20th July.
