One for the future

A time capsule containing thoughts and prayers from the staff and pupils at Chagford Primary School has been laid into the foundations of the new school building.

On Friday November 3rd Headteacher Liz Wiseman and members of the School Council, were joined by the Revd Paul Seaton Burn, John Searson (Director of Education for Exeter Diocese), Governor Jon Bint and members of the Kier construction team to dedicate the capsule.

Revd Seaton Burn said a prayer as the capsule was placed into the foundations of what will be the new school hall.

The capsule also included a pencil case, a school prospectus and two old school bibles, as well as thoughts and prayers from Kier.

The building work is now well underway, and pupils are due to move into the new school in September 2018. A plaque to commemorate the time capsule will be hung on the wall in the new hall.
